BOO! Did I scare you? Well it sure scared up the box office and critics, by taking the number one spot at last weekend’s box office.
Overall this was a weekend of critically poor films, and a reminder of last weeks ugly box office numbers. As mentioned, Boo: 2 a Madea Halloween came in at number 1, grossing $21.65 million. As predicted Geo-Storm cracked the top three at number 2, grossing $13.30 million, quite a bit less than the $40 million I thought it would bring in. Coming in at number three, Happy Death Day managed to hang on for another week, but grossed only $9.38 million.
My predictions for next week are; 1. Jigsaw at $15 million, 2. Boo: 2 a Madea Halloween at $11 million, and 3. Matt Damon’s Suburbicon at $8 million.
What film are you planning to see next weekend? I’ll be at home BINGING on season 2 of Stranger Things!
